Life after Summer in Maine

Life in Portland has been great. I loved the city. The coursework has been engaging and interesting. Studio visits were enlightening. I got a new community of friends. Thanks to D.H. and my kiddo. They were so supporting and giving all the time.

These are some pictures from farmer’s market. Unlike Boston Farmer’s market, it is quite a cultural thing here. There are a lot of activities happening and local craftspeople showing their work.

Something New

I visited MFA last week and it was great. I saw some miniatures see ad have fun.

Horses

I made this realistic horse painting first when I was really in love with this dynamic pose. It is 8 x 10 oil on gessoed board. This one inspired me to do another.

This one is done on a discarded stretched canvas ( by someone else) 14x 18. I have left out so much of original abstract painting. I even thought that it was easier to start on used canvas. Both these were painted fast and furious.

This one is 12x16 oil on board. the gold is not caught well by my camera. But I am happy with how it looks in person. Thanks for looking.
